Chris is a recognized leader within the global startup ecosystem and is an Entrepreneur-in-Residence for Founder Institute in Silicon Valley, the home base of the world’s largest pre-seed startup accelerator.

Foltz also serves on the FI Global Leadership team, Founder X Advisory Committee, and mentors startup founders in Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Philadelphia, London, Amsterdam, Luxembourg, Sweden, Greece, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Uganda, Cameroon, Columbia, India, throughout Central Asia, and the Gulf Cooperation Council. In addition to working with accelerators, Foltz impacts entrepreneurship through his role on the International Advisory Board of the Ugwumba Center for Leadership Development in Africa, as an advisor to Dream VC, and as a startup advisor at LoyalVC.

In addition to serving in leadership roles in many non-profit organizations and initiatives, Foltz is the recipient of the President’s Volunteer Service Award, the Chicago Area Peace Corps Association Service Award, Leadership Awards from both the Huntington’s Disease Society of America & the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago, a Nebraska Art History Award, a Silver Trumpet Award from the Publicity Club of Chicago, a 6x Chicago Innovation Award nominee, has been named a “Chicagoan of the Week,” and recognized as a “World Peace Ambassador” by Claes Nobel, the Patriarch of the Nobel Prize Family.
